With almost 31,000 students, 5000 staff and over 700 courses, Sheffield Hallam University is one of the largest in the UK. Although the building wasn’t officially recognised as a university until 1992, it has acted as an educational establishment from as far back as the late 19^th Century, when it began life as the Sheffield School of Design. Today, Sheffield Hallam University is an internationally-acclaimed institution and home to around 4500 overseas students.
