Bristol Airport

Built on the site of a former RAF airfield, Bristol Airport officially opened in 1930, when it became the UK’s third civil airport. Within a decade, it was serving over 4,000 passengers each year. Just over eight miles from Bristol, the airport has grown and now serves around 7million customers each year and employs just under 3,000 staff. Having extended its reach to international flights, Bristol Airport has continued to upgrade its facilities, including the car parking available to travellers.

Bristol Airport may only be a few miles from Bristol, but its rural location means that parking in the nearby towns and villages can be heavily oversubscribed. Bristol Airport offers excellent parking solutions for both short and long-stay parking, in the forms of the Bristol Long Stay car park and the Bristol Silverzone car park. The Long Stay is only a short walk from the terminal but there are 24-hour bus transfers available for both car parks at Bristol Airport.

Parking at Bristol Airport is both cost-effective and convenient, and can be made even more so with the facility to book spaces in advance. In addition, the airport runs a Meet and Greet service, in which staff will collect your car from outside the terminal and park it for you while you check-in. On your return, they will meet you with your car at the terminal, leaving you free to drive home.

Bristol Airport car parks

Bristol Airport’s Long Stay car park is conveniently located directly opposite the airport terminal and is a short walk away from the entrance. However, if you have heavy luggage, small children in tow, or are disabled, there are bus transfers available around the clock. You will also find disabled parking bays close to the terminal, with nearby assistance points for added convenience.

The Silverzone car park is a superb, cost-effective alternative for those who are taking a longer break. The shuttle bus is regular and the journey takes around five minutes. Disabled parking bays are near the reception building and all shuttle buses have wheelchair access.
