Parking in Worthing

Tucked between the English Channel and the South Downs is West Sussex’s largest town. Its location gives it a particularly mild microclimate, earning the town the monogram of ‘Sunny Worthing’. Parking in Worthing can be challenging, as the metered street spaces fill up quickly while others are for residents only. Make use of NCP’s Worthing car parks and enjoy a stroll around this quintessentially English seaside town.

Points of interest

Worthing has become something of a magnet for artists, and you can see examples of local artists at the East Beach Studios, or the museum’s accompanying art gallery. Head here in August and you’ll catch the Worthing Birdman competition, where the foolhardy or just plain foolish fling themselves off Worthing Pier in an attempt to ‘fly’ the furthest while wearing a series of increasingly bizarre costumes. During June and July the Worthing Open Houses event sees around 45 homes turned into art galleries, showing local crafts and artwork. Park in either Broadwater Bridge or Union Place car park in Worthing centre for easy access to all the town’s attractions.

Connaught Theatre

Enjoy West End productions in a glorious Art Deco setting at the town’s most popular arts venue. The Connaught is on Union Place, literally just a few steps from NCP’s Union Place car park, making it easy to park and be in your seat in plenty of time for the start of the show.

Worthing Museum and Art Gallery

Worthing Museum is home to one of the finest Victorian costume collections, a tranquil sculpture garden, artefacts from archaeological digs on the nearby South Downs, as well as exhibitions. This free to enter museum is one of the town’s finest resources, and makes a great day out. Park nearby at either Broadwater Bridge or Union Place car parks.

Train-Station-City-Attraction

Worthing Station

Worthing is very definitely a ‘commuter town’ and as such its train station is incredibly busy. Parking in and around the station is both limited and in high demand, so it makes sense to either park in the nearby Broadwater Bridge or buy a season ticket for Union Place NCP Worthing car parks, saving you both time and money.
