Parking in Dundee
Dundee is probably most renowned for its famous cake and marmalade, as well as for the publishing empire of DC Thompson, creators of the immortal Beano and Dandy children’s magazines. But Dundee was also a world class and hugely important centre for ship building from the early 18th and well into the 19th centuries, when Britain’s empire was on the rise. Visitors can still see much of this proud maritime heritage at the city’s Victoria Docks, with convenient NCP Dundee parking nearby if you’re planning a trip to the area.
Points of interest
Visitors come to Dundee to explore the historic docks area in many cases, and to see beautifully preserved old ships like HMS Unicorn and the royal research ship Discovery, with its Captain Scott associations. There are also some impressive art galleries like the McManus Galleries, and an intriguing burial ground near the city centre with strange inscriptions from Victorian times. With Dundee NCP car parking conveniently close and pre-bookable, Dundee is an ideal city to explore on foot, for culture lovers and shoppers alike.
