Exeter Airport is one of the busiest transport hubs in the south-west of England, serving as a key gateway to and from Devon and Cornwall. With close to a million passengers passing through its gates each year, it's no surprise that the airport has plenty of superb facilities, including a wide range of parking options. Whether you’re heading off to the continent, are planning an internal flight or travelling to somewhere exotic, pre-booking your parking at Exeter Airport gets your journey off to a hassle-free start.
The airport is located just a few miles from the ancient city of Exeter. While transfers to and from the city centre are easy, parking can be tricky, thanks to the number of tourists coming into this small city throughout most of the year. In quieter months, though, it's easy to catch a bus transfer to the airport from the city centre, and there are plenty of car parks to choose from both close to the terminal and in the city centre itself.
Most visitors make use of the parking at Exeter Airport car parks, where you can pre-book a space ahead of your trip and save yourself both time and money. Plan ahead and take the stress out of travel by booking a space in advance.
The airport's own car parks are close to the terminal, affordable and convenient. There are special considerations for blue badge holders, and regular bus shuttle services for all passengers, dropping you right at the door.

The airport's short stay car parks couldn't be any more convenient. With a pair of affordable short stay car parks just 50 and 75 yards away from the terminal, passengers can reach check-in in a matter of minutes without even stepping on the shuttle bus.
If you're jetting off a little further afield, parking at Exeter Airport also gives you some handy long stay options, the closest of which is still just 100 yards from the terminal. The other long stay car park is around 800 yards from the main airport. There's a complimentary shuttle bus, which runs to both the long stay options, making light work of the short transfer, even if you’ve got lots of luggage.
Exeter airport is fairly small, so the process of checking-in is usually a fast one. Some airlines offer the chance to check-in online and print your boarding pass, speeding up the process. .
If you're checking bags in or have heavy luggage then it’s best to arrive a little earlier and give yourself plenty of time. Check-in desks typically open around two and half hours before flight times, so arrive any time after then.
Shopping and dining
For an intimate regional airport, Exeter boasts an impressive range of shops and eateries. While there are a few shops and cafés close to the check-in desks, the bulk of the shops and eateries are beyond the security gates. From international restaurants to handy cafés, there's plenty to choose from before you take off. Passengers can also expect a sizeable Duty Free area, and a newsagent selling papers from around the world.
