Nottingham Mount Street
Nottingham will forever be associated with Robin Hood and the wicked Sheriff. They may or may not be fictional characters, but Nottingham Castle is a solid piece of brooding reality, standing on a huge rock riddled with subterranean tunnels.
The first thing you’ll come to after the castle is the oldest pub in England, the Trip to Jerusalem at the foot of the castle, and there are a few more museums nearby too. At the centre of Nottingham is Slab Square, a communal area surrounded by malls and independent shopping outlets. Parking in Nottingham is at a premium, so leave your car at the nearby NCP Nottingham car park at Mount Street and you’ll be conveniently close to most of the activity. You can even pre-book your parking space in Nottingham and guarantee your spot whenever you want.
Nottingham Playhouse Parking
Established for repertory in 1948, Nottingham Playhouse is at the city’s cultural heart and stages a wide range of productions throughout the year. A centre for pantomime, drama and dance, staging timeless classics as well as exciting new commissions, the playhouse also doubles as an important conference venue. Whether you’re here for pleasure or business, leave your car at the nearby NCP Mount Street car park and you’ll be just a short walk away.
Nottingham Castle grounds Parking
Nottingham Castle is iconic, and after exploring this solid piece of medieval building you can linger in the grounds, enjoying the six acres of gardens and the excellent views across the city. There’s also a museum, café, shop and ‘medieval’ playground for the kids. With the NCP Mount Street Nottingham car park just a short distance away, this is the most convenient spot to leave your car. You can book your space in advance to avoid for a hassle-free day out with the kids.
Nottingham Cathedral Parking
This Roman Catholic church is the seat of the Bishop of Nottingham and dates from 1844. The architect Augustus Pugin, responsible for the interior works in the Houses of Parliament, designed it, and the style is Early English Plain Gothic (which is anything but ‘plain’!). It’s a most impressive and atmospheric building, and with NCP’s Mount Street car park nearby you’re just a short walk from this fine example of Victorian architecture.
