Located adjacent to Birmingham Airport’s terminal building, Birmingham Airport Car Park 1 offers convenient, hassle-free parking and over 3,000 spaces in one of the best on-site locations. As a multi-storey car park, it is served by lift access to all levels and caters for stays of all lengths and is open 24 hours a day.

Pre-booking a space online ensures that you won’t waste valuable check-in time looking for somewhere to park. With the pre-book service your space will be available arrival, even during the busiest periods of the year. Birmingham Airport Car Park 1 is a self-parking car park, so you keep your keys and can be at the check-in desk within minutes.

In addition to the tariff shown, a £0.20 car park levy applies to all stays of 1 hour or more. Please note, the prices shown on the tariff boards at the airport will already include the £0.20 levy.

Directions

Exit the M42 at junction 6 and join the A45, and just follow the signs to the airport. On arrival at the airport follow the signs to Car Park 1.

The maximum height limit for Car Park 1 is 2.15m. Parking bays are 2.9m wide and 4.82m long, so are suitable for most average size vehicles only.

Getting to and from the terminal

Getting to the terminal

Once you have parked your car and have made your way down to the ground floor via the lifts provided, you will see the terminal directly in front of you. All you need to do, is walk down the stairs located outside of car park exit and cross the zebra crossing. 

Returning to your car after your trip

Once you return back from your holiday and exit the terminal doors, you will see helpful map signage which will help aid you in getting back to your car park.

Simply follow the signage to car park 1 or walk towards Door A. You will need to cross the road opposite door A and walk across the zebra crossing which will locate you to car park 1.

Blue badge holders

There are 30 bays set aside  for blue badge holders. You will first need to go to the NCP customer service desk in the Premium Set Down Car Park, where you’ll be given a permit to display while you’re on your break.

Please remember to bring all the details from your confirmation email, including the reference number, as this allows us to process your permit more quickly.

Once you’ve got your permit, head to Car Park 1, where you will see signage for blue badge holders. All the Blue Badge spaces are conveniently located right next to the pedestrian exit at Car Park 1.

Already Booked?

Upon arrival 

We are continually striving to improve your parking experience; for your convenience we have number plate recognition in operation at this car park. If you have pre-booked a space with us you no longer need to push for a ticket. Our cameras will read your number plate and issue a ticket automatically. However, if you haven’t provided us with your registration number at the point of booking we won’t be able to automatically recognise you on arrival.

If you experience difficulty and have pre-booked with us please don’t push the button for a ticket, just push the help button and a member of our customer services team will assist you. If you haven’t pre-booked your space press the button for a ticket at the entrance barrier, collect your ticket and find a space to park.

Leaving the car park

If you have pre-booked your space with us drive to the exit barrier and insert your ticket for your parking to be validated. Once validated, the barrier will raise. If the barrier doesn't raise, please press the assistance button

None pre-book customers

If you did not pre-book your space with us, please take the ticket you collected at the entry barrier to one of our payment machines, insert your ticket and we’ll work out how much your parking is.  You can pay using cash, credit or debit card. On arrival at the exit barrier please insert your ticket and the barrier will raise allowing you to leave.
