Why have you introduced new technology at the car park?
Our aim is to improve our customer’s parking experiences and with the installation of new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology we’re hoping you will have a quicker and simpler parking experience
How does ANPR work?
Our cameras will read your number plate on arrival and exit of the car park to check if you have a valid Season Ticket. If your number plate is matched against your Season Ticket and the registered number plate on your account, your parking will be validated. If no match is found or your Season Ticket is not live, you will receive a Parking Charge Notice (PCN).
Why are the barriers being removed?
Our ANPR technology solution is barrierless and ticketless so there is no need for a barrier to be used. This makes the process quicker and more efficient for arrival and exit at the car park.
What happens to my Season Ticket card?
As there will be no barriers at the car park, you will no longer need to use this to enter and exit the car park. You should dispose of this card securely.
How can I update the vehicle details on my Season Ticket account?
Email us by Friday 21 August 2020 at [email protected] with your account number and correct vehicle registration details. Only one vehicle can be registered against your Season Ticket. If you need or wish to change your registered vehicle details, you will need to contact us prior to arriving in the car park to confirm this. Please ensure you check your vehicle details and supply correct information as any errors in the information supplied could result in a PCN being issued.
Our ANPR cameras have a high accuracy on readability to ensure we capture your number plate correctly. Our staff and teams also have processes in place to ensure that we’ve made all the appropriate checks before a PCN is issued.
If you believe you have been issued with a PCN incorrectly, please follow the ways to appeal information which is on the reverse of your Parking Charge Notice, and provide as much evidence as possible to ensure the appeal is dealt with appropriately.
