The Octagon Theatre in Bolton is a regional theater which puts on about eight or nine productions a year ranging from Shakespeare, contemporary plays, comedies and musicals. Welcoming about 150,000 visitors a year, the theatre also plays host to touring shows, including theatre, children’s plays and stand-up comedy.
Interesting fact: The shape of the main auditorium in The Octagon is actually a hexagon. But the name “Hexagon Theatre” was taken, by a theatre in Reading.
