Parking for World Pipe Band Championships

A unique salute to Scotland's rich heritage, the World Pipe Band Championships take place in Glasgow, each August. Having been held for almost 90 years, the championships have grown in prestige and size, attracting around 250 Pipe Bands and 35,000 visitors. Glasgow Green is the centre of the action, and it won't be too complicated to find it - just listen for the familiar wail of the bagpipes and the rat-a-tat of hundreds of military drummers. With entertainment, food and stalls to enjoy, the World Pipe Band Championships are a great family day out.

With so many spectators and competitors, car parking for the World Pipe Band Championships can be tricky. We offer a range of car parking solutions, including our Glasgow George Street, Glasgow Oswald Street and Glasgow The Glasshouse car parks. Of the three, our Glasgow The Glasshouse car park is the closest, 15 minutes' walk from Glasgow Green. Both our Glasgow Oswald Street and Glasgow George Street car parks are about 20 minutes away.
