Held in July, the Bristol Harbourside Festival is the biggest free event in the UK. Thousands of people flock to see big-name bands strut their stuff, in outdoor venues spread across Bristol's historic harbourside, Millennium Square and Queen's Square. In addition to being able to dance the night away, the festival is filled with stalls, selling sizzling food, festival wear and handmade goods. By day, there's plenty for families, including maritime events, a circus zone and interactive challenges.
