Parking in Wandsworth
Not to be confused with the Borough of Wandsworth, this leafy suburb of south London was first mentioned in the Domesday Book, and was one of the original villages that eventually merged together to form modern London. Today it’s mainly home for commuters working in the centre of the city, and benefits from several open spaces and plenty of shopping. Car parking in Wandsworth can be a challenge, as most on-road meters and spaces are residents permit parking only, so if you’re visiting your best bet is to pre-book a space at one of NCP’s car parks in Wandsworth.
Points of interest
To the east of Wandsworth is the broad expanse of Clapham Common, one of London’s green ‘lungs’ and a hugely popular recreational area for tired Londoners. It forms part of a ring of parks and open spaces to the south of the Thames that includes Battersea Park and King George’s Park, making this part of London one of the greenest. Parking is very limited, so make the most of NCP’s Wandsworth car parks at Southside.
