Frequently asked questions
1 - What measures is NCP taking to ensure customers and staff remain safe during the Coronavirus crisis?
The safety of our customers and staff is of paramount importance. Learn more about the steps we're taking.
2 - I’m a business that’s interested in finding out more about parking offers that NCP has available for businesses. Who should I contact?
Simply email [email protected] with your contact and business details and an outline of what you’re looking for and one of our Commercial team will get back in touch.
3 - If I stay for longer than 24 hours, it says additional charges will apply, what are these? For example, if I stay for 48 hours, will I be charged twice the advertised offer?
If you have parked in a car park where the £5 offer applies, and you’re paying via the App you’ll be charged a maximum of £5 for each 24 hour period, so £10 in total. If you have pre-booked parking the maximum stay is 24 hours and for any overstay additional charges will apply
4 - Will the online/offline pre-book prices match this offer, eg. if I want to pre-book to stay at a car park next week, will I pay no more than the offer advertised?
These offers are not available to pre-book, except in selected Manchester and Reading locations. See above for more details
5 - Do I have to park at certain car parks to get these deals?
Yes, you’ll find a full list of the offers and participating car parks on this page
6 - Can I enter and exit as many times as I want within 24 hours and only pay advertised offer?
No, the offer rates of either £5, £7.50, £10 or £12.50 for 24 hours parking applies to a single visit
7 - Why aren’t all of your car parks open now?
Some car parks will remain closed in response to a request from a landlord to close it or for other operational and business reasons
8 - How long are these offer available for?
We’re committed to reviewing the availability of these offers on a weekly basis. We’ll monitor and review usage of the car parks and these offers to ensure we understand how we can continue to make them available, or if required, make changes as needed.
9 - Is this offer available at all NCP car parks, eg. Crewe train station?
No, please check the table for a list of locations where this offer applies
10 – Is the £5 offer available on PayByPhone?
Unfortunately, for business reasons this offer will be withdrawn from selected Pay&Display car parks from Monday 8 June.
11 - What social distancing measures will be in place in your car parks, especially at the pay machines?
Signage will be in place around the car park to remind customers to maintain a minimum 2 metre distance apart.
12 - Will your car parks have staff in them?
Yes, our staff will be patrolling and maintaining car parks and wearing full protective equipment.
13 - What if I only stay in your car park for 1 hour, will I still be charged the offer rate?
No, you’ll pay the usual tariff that applies at the car park, so if your 1 hour of parking costs £1, you’ll only pay £1.
14 - Is it £5 for every car park, or is it cheaper at certain sites?
The £5 offer is applicable at selected sites only and is the maximum amount you’d pay for up to 24 hours parking. For selected London sites, the offer differs and is either £7.50, £10 or £12.50 – see above for details.
15 - Will this offer apply in your pay and display sites?
Yes, full details can be found further up the page
16 - Why can’t I pay for my parking with cash?
For safety reasons, we’re not accepting cash payments at this time

If you exit the car park within 10 minutes of arrival, no charge will apply
18 - Is everything in the car park working as normal, eg. lifts?
For safety reasons, lifts may not be operational and no cash payments will be accepted – only credit/debit card or mobile payments via the NCP ParkPass App (or PayByPhone if the ParkPass App is not currently accepted at that location)
19 - How do I get a refund on my season ticket as this price is a lot lower than what I pay for my season ticket?
This offer is for a limited time period, so by retaining your current season ticket, you’ll benefit over the longer period.
20 - What’s the catch? £7.50 is very cheap, especially for your London car parks. Why are you doing this?
We’ll be charging a competitive rate for as long as we are able to. We hope this goes someway to help our customers.
21 - I don’t have a credit or debit card, how do I pay for my parking?
You’ll need your card details to be able to pay for parking, so please contact someone who can provide them to you
