Park Mark ® - The Safer Parking Scheme

NCP has more accredited car parks than any other operator and plans to have all of its car parks on the scheme by the end of 2009.

The Safer Parking Scheme (SPS) is a joint initiative of the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) and the British Parking Association (BPA), aimed at reducing crime and the fear of crime in parking facilities. It is supported by the Home Office and Scottish Executive.

The Park Mark ®, is awarded to parking facilities that have achieved the requirements of an assessment conducted by the local Police and management assessments conducted by Development Managers from the BPA.

What are the Benefits of the Scheme?

Accreditation means that NCP has put in place measures that help to deter criminal activity and anti-social behaviour as well as providing a safe and clean environment for our customers.

What does this mean for our customers?

For customers, using a Park Mark Safer Parking facility means that they can park with the knowledge that the area has been vetted by the Police and has measures in place in order to create a safe environment.
