NCP, the UK’s largest car park provider, has announced a cheaper weekend tariff at its Pall Mall car park in Liverpool. The weekend rate, previously £14.50 for up to nine hours, is now £3 - a massive saving of £11.50.

Liverpool customers will also be pleased to know this is not the only saving to be had in the area. At NCP Moorfields, the weekend tariffs have also dropped to £4 for up to two hours, £6 for up to four hours and £8 for up to twelve hours. Previously they were £4.90, £7.30 and £14.50 respectively.

Rupert Abercrombie, Business Manager for NCP North West said; “We are continually listening to the local community and understand there is a real need for cost effective parking options at the weekend. We hope both visitors and town trade will benefit from these new options.”

NCP, the UK’s largest car parking company, has re-introduced the one hour price tariff at John Dobson Street in Newcastle, after undergoing a customer feedback review. Alongside the request for the one hour tariff to be brought back, customers also asked for it to remain less than £10 to park in the centre of Newcastle for 24 hours.

With 552 spaces in total, the car park is ideally located in the city centre, just a few minutes walk to shops, restaurants and offices, offering safe, off-street parking.

Ross Cowe, NCP Business Support Manager says: “Our aim is to ensure that every visitor to Newcastle NCP is extremely satisfied with their parking experience, and we are continually listening to our customers for their feedback. It has been their request for us to bring back the one hour tariff, which we are delighted to do. We hope both residents and visitors will benefit, as well as enjoy the fact that they can still park for 24 hours in the centre of Newcastle for under £10.”

  • NCP prepares for the future with new, easier to use parking equipment in Belfast

Posted on 11 August 2010 by Hannah Edwards in News

NCP, the UK’s largest car park provider, has announced it will introduce brand new ticketing equipment at its sites on Dublin Road and Montgomery Street in Belfast.

As part of NCP’s commitment to improving their customers’ parking experience, the new kit from Scheidt and Bachmann is the latest in parking technology, where machines will issue a chip coin rather than the traditional ticket. This will also allow NCP to introduce new parking products to its customers in the future.

The new equipment will come as a welcome addition to NCP Belfast customers, who will then be able to pay for their parking using a credit or debit card.

The new chip coin ticket system also offers a number of benefits to customers – smoother entry and exits, no more ticket jams, and a coin which is easier to carry and reusable, so it’s beneficial for the environment too.

The equipment will be installed in a rolling process during August and September. Posters and leaflets are being used to advise customers and season ticket holders of the change over, and staff will be on hand at each site to answer any questions or concerns from the public.

Steve Pyle, Regional Managing Director for NCP said: “We are continually looking at new ways to better the parking experience we provide at NCP. This cutting-edge equipment is being introduced to provide a faster, greener and more efficient service for our Belfast customers.”

Although disruption will be kept to a minimum, NCP would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused during installation.
