Birmingham Airport Car Park 5 offers convenient and cost-effective parking at Birmingham Airport, for those who are travelling on a budget or need to leave their vehicle as part of an extended break. An on-site car park, it’s a 10-minute walk to the terminal, and for those with heavy luggage, small children or mobility restrictions, courtesy shuttle buses offer transfers every 10 minutes, around the clock.

There are disabled car parking spaces and for those with larger vehicles, no height restrictions. Pre-booking your space online saves you valuable time for checking-in and the knowledge that your parking spot will be ready and waiting for you. Pre-booking also allows you to purchase optional extras, such as access to pre-flight lounges and express lane security, helping you to avoid the queues.

Please note that Birmingham Airport Lounges are currently closed and therefore unavailable to pre-book online. All passengers with existing bookings please see our FAQ page for further details.

Getting to and from the terminal

Getting to the terminal

Once you have parked your car, make your way to towards the entry barriers and follow the pedestrian footpath to the terminal.

You can also wait at the bus shelter for one of the buses which arrives every 10 minutes. It will take you right outside the terminal.

Getting back to your car from the terminal

We have placed handy map totems outside each one of the terminal doors to help you get back to your car park. If you are still struggling to get back to car park 5 then simply walk towards Door A.

Exit from Door A and you will see a footpath to your right, simply follow to footpath, which will take you directly to car park 5.

Blue badge holders

We have plenty of space for blue badge holders. You will see blue badge bays to the left of the car park as you enter.

If you wish to take your blue badge on holiday with you, then you will first need to go to the NCP customer service desk in the Premium Set Down Car Park, where you’ll be given a permit to display while you’re on your break.

Please remember to bring all the details from your confirmation email, including the reference number, as this allows us to process your permit more quickly.

Already Booked?

Upon arrival 

When you arrive at Car Park 5, there is no need to press for a ticket. Our ANPR cameras will read your registration number to raise the barriers automatically.

If you are planning to book in advance, please ensure you provide us with the correct registration number at the point of booking. If you have made a booking, we will email you with detailed instructions on the arrivals procedure.

Should you require any help, please press the assistance button which is located on the entrance column and a member of our customer service team will be happy to assist you.

Once you’ve parked, you’re free to get to the check-in desks and start your holiday, knowing that your vehicle is being looked after by our professional parking team.

Leaving the car park

Once you’re back from your break, leave the terminal building, and head back to the car park.

If you have a booking, we will email you with detailed instructions on the returns procedure. We have two pay machines in the car park where you can pay by card. Please note, all our pay machines are now cashless. The pay machines are located within the car park and in the exit lane. Please have your registration number ready to enter.

Paying before you reach the exit speeds up the process, so you can drive to the exit barrier, which will raise automatically, and get ahead with your journey. If you wish to pay in the exit lane, please make sure you choose the correct lane for payment. Once you have made the payment, the barrier will raise automatically to allow exit.
