Flexible benefits

We can help your company to offer a salary sacrifice scheme that means your employees pay much less for convenient parking.

Benefits

  • The freedom to come and go as you please from the car park they nominate to park in
  • Typically a third off the cost of parking for most of your employees in the lower tax band
  • Typically 41% off the cost of parking for most of your employees in the higher tax band
  • As much as a 12.8% saving in your employer National Insurance contributions

How it works

The cost of parking is deducted on a monthly basis from your employees’ salaries. This repayment is made before Income Tax or National Insurance is paid, which means there are savings for your employees and your business. This is because your employees are paying Income Tax, and your business is paying National Insurance contributions, on a lower gross sum.

And as so many of our car parks are in prime city centre locations, your staff will find it easier to park close to the office without paying a premium.

Case Study

NCP

We worked with the benefit solutions provider Fair Care when they wanted to launch a new car parking scheme. Fair Care’s employees have saved up to half of their regular parking costs with the Smart Parking Scheme.

We issue an NCP Season Ticket to each member of Fair Care’s staff who joins the salary sacrifice scheme, allowing them to park in a car park close to their office.

It’s easy for new employees to join the scheme and get their season tickets and when people leave Fair Care, their cards are cancelled without fuss or hassle.

Whilst many of our salary sacrifice schemes and other products are aimed at reducing car usage, such as the immensely popular Cycle to Work scheme, we also recognise that this is not always a practical

Car parking is a contentious issue, so by introducing the Smart Parking Scheme with NCP, employers can offer a tangible and valuable cost saving for those employees and, we hope, reduce staff turnover in the process.
