How it Works?
How does FastPark work?
FastPark enables you to pay for your parking using your mobile phone. No more hunting for change or having to dash back to your car to top up your parking. Instead, park your car, either make a short call or send a single text, and you’re parked. To add more time just call back or send a text, and if you would like a reminder text before your parking expires we can send you that too.
Getting started
There’s no need to set-up an account in advance – but it’s easier if you do. That way you will be recognized by the system when you first call to park your car. To register now just click on the Sign-up link below. You will need to enter:
Your mobile phone number
A credit or debit card
At least one number plate
Your number plate is required as this is how the traffic attendant will know you have paid – your number plate will be displayed on the traffic attendant’s handheld computer when you use the system
When you park – using the touchtone service
Just call 0870 458 9600 (the number is shown on signs in all FastPark car parks) and the automated service will prompt you to enter:
The 4-digit location number (shown on signs in the car park)
The duration you wish to park for (normally in hours)
The automated service will read the transaction back to you, you need to press 1 to confirm, and the parking charge will be charged to the credit or debit card that you have registered.
If it’s the first time you have used the service, and you have not pre-registered, then you will also be prompted to enter:
A credit or debit card
At least one number plate
Configure your text settings (optional text reminders and receipts)
You will only need to enter this information the once – these details will be held on record. They can of course be changed at any time.
When you park – using the text service
If you wish to pay by text – and have already registered – then it couldn’t be easier. Just send a text in the following format to 07950 080201 (the number is shown on signs in the FastPark car parks)
LOCATION DURATION SECURITY CODE
Where ‘LOCATION’ is the 4-digit location number, ‘DURATION’ is the duration you wish to park for expressed in hours or minutes with an H for hours or M for minutes, and ‘SECURITY CODE’ is the 3-digit security code on the back of your credit or debit card. For example, if you wish to park your car in location 8524 for 2 hours and your 3-digit security code is 250, then send:
8524 2H 250
You need to leave one space (not more!) between each field of information. We will send you a text confirming this transaction – if for any reason you need to change it then you have 5 minutes in which to reply with ‘STOP’ and the transaction will be cancelled at no charge.
Extending your parking
That’s where it gets really easy. Either call 0870 458 9600 and follow the prompts (you will only need to enter the duration you wish to add), or send a text to 07950 080201 with the duration to add e.g. 4H will add four hours to your parking session.
Managing your account
To manage your account, just login on this site with your account number (your mobile phone number), and your PIN number (the last 4-digits of your credit or debit card). You will be able to:
View all your transactions and either export or print this information (for receipts etc.)
Change your profile (update card details or change your text settings)
Request email receipts (add your email address in the profile page and check the appropriate box)
Add or change number plates (you can enter as many as you like)
You can also change any of your account details through the touchtone system – instead of entering a location number press the star key for ‘more options’. Follow the prompts to change your account settings.
How much does it cost?
We will calculate the best possible price for the duration that you have requested. The parking fee plus a Service Charge will be charged to your credit or debit card. The Service Charges are as follows:
20p where the parking charge is less than £2
30p where the parking fee is £2 or more
10p to extend a parking session
Optional text reminders or text receipts are charged at 10p per text.
Network charges may vary and are not included in the service charge.
